Hello, my name is Brooke (Birdie) and I am an artist based out of San Diego, California. I have lived in San Diego my whole life and have loved spending most of my time in nature, both at the beach or in the mountains, ever since I was a child. My parents were also born and raised in San Diego and have such an amazing love for nature that has influenced my connection with nature.

I grew up creating art and have always had a deep love for it. My grandpa was an amazing artist and I grew up drawing in his art room and being so inspired by his paintings. He designed the Scenic Drive signs that are all around the beaches in San Diego. Many of my other family are also great artist and seeing how beautiful it is to create art out of nothing but a blank paper motivated me to want to create art more often. That feeling of both the process of being creative as well as seeing the beautiful things I was able to create with my own hands sparked a passion within me from a young age.

I drew a good majority of my life on and off, but I always knew within me that creating art was something I was meant to do, a gift I needed to share. I began starting to paint occasionally on canvas about 5 years ago with acrylic paint and fell in love with the fluidity of painting along with the lifelike colors. In 2021 I began to use oil paints and started to paint a lot more consistently and really decided that I want to pursue art full time.
